Park County has a diverse geography, amazing landscapes and a very interesting history.
Easily reachable from Denver or Colorado Springs within 1 1/2 hrs, Park County has become popular
with people wanting to “get out of the city” for day trips to the mountains, or explore the historic
towns of Fairplay, Alma, Como and surrounding historic sites.
Due to the still relatively low cost of land, proximity to ski resorts, open spaces, good highway
access and surrounding beauty, many people are selecting Park County to build a second home or
mountain cabin hideaway.
National forest access, excellent hiking, fishing and hunting, ATV trails, many lakes and numerous
cute summer festivals makes for fun recreational activities in the Park. And the stars at night are
an awesome sight.
